Medical Translation Services FAQ
Medical translation is a specialist field that involves translating medical documents from one language to another while maintaining their validity, accuracy, and intended meaning. Skilled medical translators not only possess exceptional linguistic abilities but also a deep understanding of medical terminology, concepts, and cultural contexts across both languages.
We specialize in translating various types of medical documents including patient records, consent forms, clinical trial protocols, pharmaceutical documents, vaccination records, health insurance documents, medical equipment manuals, and medical research papers.
Our medical translations are widely accepted by the NHS, medical institutions, insurance companies, consulates and embassies, UK Visas and Immigration, and foreign governments.
Our medical document translations are priced on a per-word or per-page basis, with no hidden costs. We typically translate medical reports within 48 hours but we also offer an expedited service for clients with urgent requests. To receive an accurate quote and turnaround time, please send us a scanned copy or photo of your medical document by email or through our quote forms.
Yes, we understand that some projects require quick turnaround times. Our medical translation company offers expedited services for urgent projects, ensuring that your deadlines are met without compromising on quality. Contact us to discuss your timeline, and we'll provide a tailored solution to meet your needs.
We kindly request that you do not send us the original medical document by post and send us a scanned copy or photo instead. Please make sure to send us a clear copy of the document as we cannot translate anything that is blurred.
The certified translations of your medical documents will be sent to you electronically as a PDF file via email. If a physical copy is required, you have the option of printing the PDF document and it will be considered as an original copy. However, please ensure that you print the translated documents in colour. This will help distinguish them from photocopies and avoid any potential confusion. If you have requested sworn, notarised or apostilled translations, they will be sent to you by post.
We take extensive measures to protect customer data, including:
1. Access Control: We strictly limit access to customer data only to authorised personnel who require it for their specific job responsibilities.
2. Encryption: All sensitive customer information is encrypted, both in transit and at rest, to prevent unauthorised access.
3. Compliance: We comply with all relevant data protection laws and regulations to ensure the highest standards of security.
4. Third-Party Involvement: Any third parties involved in handling customer information are bound by contractual agreements to maintain the same level of confidentiality and security.
We offer medical translation services in over 120 languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish, Turkish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Russian, and Arabic. If you would like to know whether we support a particular language, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Before placing an order with us, please ensure that the medical document is free from errors or omissions. We are required to translate the document exactly as it is, even if it contains mistakes or has missing information.
We will endeavour to ensure that we provide you with a professional medical translation. If the service that we provide does not meet your expectations, we will assess the queries and, if deemed necessary, have the translated material revised/proofread at no extra cost. This, however, does not cover a) Preferential changes; b) Very minor errors such as minimal typos and omissions that do not affect the sense of the translated text unless you have commissioned our proofreading services. Any issues regarding quality should be raised within 30 days.
